Product Resell Policy
Understanding how our products may be purchased and used, and what activities are not permitted.
This policy applies to all customers who purchase products from Greenlane Gear through any of our channels — including our Shopify store, Takealot, Makro, OneDay Only, and our physical demo store. Please read this carefully before completing a purchase.
Section 01
No-Resell Policy
Greenlane Gear products are intended strictly for personal and end-use purposes only. The reselling of our products — whether as new, used, or refurbished items — is prohibited without prior written authorisation from Greenlane Gear management.
This prohibition includes, but is not limited to:
- Reselling on online marketplaces such as Takealot, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace, or OLX
- Reselling through physical retail or informal trade channels
- Purchasing products in bulk with the intent to resell at a profit
- Purchasing demo, returned, or discounted stock from our demo store for commercial resell purposes
Section 02
Why This Policy Exists
We've put this policy in place to:
- Protect the integrity and reputation of the Greenlane Gear brand
- Ensure customers receive products supported by our quality standards
- Prevent misrepresentation of our products — particularly discounted or demo stock being resold as new
- Maintain fair and consistent pricing across all our authorised channels
Section 03
Demo Store & Discounted Stock
Products sold through our demo store are sold voetstoots (as-is) at discounted prices. These may include ex-display units, customer returns, cosmetically imperfect stock, or open-box items.
Section 04
Authorised Resellers
Greenlane Gear does not currently operate a formal reseller or distribution programme. Any entity claiming to be an authorised reseller of Greenlane Gear products without written confirmation from our management team is doing so without authorisation.
If you represent a business and are interested in a potential reseller or bulk supply arrangement, please contact us directly. All such requests will be considered at the sole discretion of Greenlane Gear management.
Section 05
Enforcement & Consequences
Greenlane Gear reserves the right to take the following actions where a breach of this policy is suspected or confirmed:
🚫Refuse a sale where resell intent is reasonably suspected
📦Limit the quantity of items any single customer may purchase
❌Cancel or reverse orders placed in violation of this policy
🔒Blacklist customers or businesses found to be in breach from future purchases
⚖️Take appropriate legal action where our brand or IP is misrepresented through unauthorised reselling
