Greenlane Gear Giveaway – Terms and Conditions

The promoter of the contest is Greenlane Gear ("the Promoter").

1. Eligibility and Entry

1.1. The competition is open to legal residents of South Africa who currently reside in South Africa, aged 18 years or older. Employees of Greenlane Gear, their family members, agents, consultants, suppliers, or any person directly or indirectly affiliated with the business are not eligible to participate.

1.2. Only purchases made on the official Greenlane Gear website (www.greenlanegear.co.za) between May 9, 2025, and May 31, 2025 will qualify for entry.

1.3. Each eligible purchase counts as one entry. There is no limit to the number of qualifying entries per person, provided each purchase is made in accordance with the terms.

1.4. There is no separate entry form—entry is automatic upon successful purchase during the competition period.

2. Competition Rules and Compliance

2.1. The competition is conducted in compliance with Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and Regulation 11 of the Consumer Protection Regulations.

2.2. All competition rules must be fair, just, and reasonable, and will be made available to the National Consumer Commission upon request.

2.3. The rules will be accessible to any participant requesting them at no cost, and a copy will be retained for at least three (3) years after the competition concludes.

2.4. An independent expert (registered auditor, accountant, attorney, or advocate) will oversee and audit the competition to ensure compliance. The audit report will be retained for a minimum of three (3) years.

3. Prize Details

3.1. One (1) winner will receive a refund of up to R2000 on a qualifying purchase made during the promotional period.

3.2. If the total value of the winner’s purchase is less than R2000, the full purchase amount will be refunded. If the total is more than R2000, the winner will receive a maximum refund of R2000.

3.3. The refund will be processed using the original payment method used during checkout.

3.4. There is no cash alternative to the prize. The prize is not transferable.

3.5. The winner agrees to the use of their name in promotional or marketing materials unless they opt out in writing.

3.6. Greenlane Gear reserves the right to substitute the prize with an equivalent offer if unforeseen circumstances arise.

4. Competition Duration

4.1. The competition starts on May 9, 2025, and ends on May 31, 2025. No purchases made after 11:59 PM SAST on May 31, 2025, will be eligible.

4.2. The Promoter reserves the right to change the start or end date with prior notice.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

5.1. One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries.

5.2. The winner will be notified by email by June 7, 2025, and will be provided with confirmation of the refund.

5.3. If the winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 2 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner or forfeit the prize.

5.4. The winner’s name will be available upon request via email within 28 days of the closing date.

6. General Terms

6.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., war, civil disturbance, act of God, or changes in applicable law).

6.2. No responsibility can be accepted for technical issues or delays that result in a failure to complete a purchase.

6.3. The Promoter’s decision in all competition-related matters is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.4. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

6.5. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

7. Data Protection

7.1. Personal data collected from participants will be used solely in accordance with South African data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent.

7.2. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, X (Formerly Twitter), or any other social network. Entrants are providing their information to Greenlane Gear, not to any third party.

8. Prohibited Conduct

8.1. The Promoter prohibits informing any person that they have won if no competition has been conducted.

8.2. Participants who engage in fraudulent activities (e.g., using stolen card information, chargebacks, or suspicious multiple transactions) will be disqualified.

8.3. Participants cannot be required to be present at a draw or participate in marketing activities as a condition to enter or claim a prize, but they may voluntarily agree to do so.
